Mark Colbourne MBE

Paralympic Gold Medallist, International Speaker, Results Coach

Mark Colbourne MBE is a Former World & Paralympic Cycling Champion who achieved the ultimate pinnacle in sport at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, by winning Gold in track cycling.

 

Mark unfortunately broke his back in May 2009 in a near fatal paragliding crash and was left with lower leg paralysis for life. However, using his sheer grit and determination and the discipline to never give up, he inspired the nation with his double world record performance.

 

Since his retirement from cycling, Mark has wowed audience across the world with his detailed keynote insight into how he went from breaking his back and suicide thoughts, to breaking world records on the track.

 

Mark was awarded the MBE by King Charles III for his services to his country and sport.
